Product Description :
Ceramic, Japanese Sake Cups, Traditional Chinese Kung Fu Tea cups A small wide-mouth jianzhan cup with a small base, designed after Song Dynasty (960-1279) style matcha bowls.
Each small cup is dappled with streaks of different colors where the glaze drips down the sides and changes color while firing in the kiln.
Each piece has a unique pattern.
This particular technique of creating a mix of colors in the kiln became popular in the Qing Dynasty in the late 17th century, and requires temperatures of over 1200°C (2192°F).
Great for serving small portions of tea or sake.
