A type of pan used for baking muffins. The pan typically will have 6 or 12 individual round pockets or holders connected to the tin and formed in the shape of a muffin. Standard-size muffin pans are the only baking tool you need to whip up sweet and savory treats like muffins and cupcakes. Mold is a container used in various techniques of food preparation to shape the finished dish. The term may also refer to a finished dish made in said container
