The core of these 4 by 4 inch dressing sponges consists of a layer of rayon and cellulose that increases its absorbency. It also has a nonwoven outer fabric that’s ideal for direct contact with the skin as it produces little linting. The nonwoven sponges do not contaminate wounds and draw fluids away from the injuries to the outer surface quickly. These nonwoven gauze sponges are comparable to Topper®.
